This provides us with full control over the software environment and (since we have several servers) also gives us the ability to load balance our clients for optimal performance. The hardware is physically located in Verio’s Dulles, VA Datacenter, where it is continually monitored 24x7:

Server Hardware/Software - High performance Intel based server platforms running FreeBSD UNIX and Apache HTTP Web Server software (we can also provide Microsoft Server platforms if you prefer). We also utilize RAID 5 software/hardware technology to ensure site and data integrity in the event of disk failure. The RAID feature also increases storage capacity and provides faster data access. Our e-mail servers use SPAMAssassin for SPAM control and ClamV for virus protection.

Domain Name Registration - As an authorized TuCows OpenSRS domain name reseller, Web by Design, Inc. can offer fast, low cost registrations. If you also choose us to provide your hosting, your new domain will be automatically linked to one of our servers and will be visible on the web in as little as 24 hours.
